Greg Speed is the co-founder of Iron Shield.  With 28 years of law enforcement experience, 12 of those years in command level assignments for the Anne Arundel County Police Department.  Greg has proven ability to be a forward thinker & problem solver.   He is an experienced public speaker and instructor.  

Greg spent 4 years as the Commander of Professional Standards overseeing Internal Affairs, Accreditation and the Executive Protection Units.  During Greg's career his has worked closely with numerous local and federal law enforcement agencies. Greg served for over 4 years as the Training Director for the police department's training academy overseeing the agency's training for all 800 officers including new hires, continuing education, tactics and firearms. He has experience coordinating and planning security for public and private large scale events.  Working directly for event organizers to provide both overt and discreet security measures.   Outside of special events, he has experience providing EP services to HNWI & celebrities.  

 

Greg holds a bachelor's degree from Elon University (1996).
